Don't try that with me, young man. I *think* I know you better than that already... *grin*

Yes, it's all your fault. Thank you again

And that is as it should be.

Good try, though.

My pleasure. Really. So very welcome.

I can hope so

"Ever had the stuffing knocked out of you?"

Is "stuffing" some sort of euphemism?

*raised eyebrow* What would I need a euphemism for?

The Thought Plickens!

Well, you really ought to see someone about that then. It can be dangerous, I hear.

My Dear Teh,

Is it Okay if I call you "Teh"? I suppose I could call you "Alan," but your True Identity so far remains unverified. However, I WILL use "Teh" with the utmost affection, I assure you.

"*raised eyebrow*"

*sigh*

I seem to get that reaction A LOT!

"What would I need a euphemism for?"

Euphemisms can be VERY handy in circumventing those unfortunate Obscenity Laws. They are also useful in averting charges of Indecency. Trust me on that one.

You seem A Little Naive. That's ADORABLE!

As far as my question about "stuffing"...I would think that having the "stuffing knocked out of you" would indicate that you had, in fact, been stuffed with Something. Have you?

"Well, you really ought to see someone about that then. It can be dangerous, I hear."

I've heard that a lot of things are Dangerous, but I rarely believe what I'm told. I prefer to find out for myself.

At the risk of being accused of being blunt (although I've been accused of far WORSE things), are you who you appear to be? Appearances CAN be deceiving. Normally, ( ... )

Dear E

Actually, the "teh" in user name was suggested by a friend as something of a joke, since I know very few of the terms and peculiarities. But I appreciate the affection all the same.

A fair enough point on your, and perhaps any, Obscenity Laws, but I assure you, there is no need to use one in this sense.

As to being "stuffed" with something; nothing worse than long-held ideas which I believed were conclusive. I think the same can be said for almost any of us, perhaps.

I've heard that a lot of things are Dangerous, but I rarely believe what I'm told. I prefer to find out for myself.

Also fair enough, and probably wise.

Bluntness is appreciated, truly. And yes, appearances CAN be deceiving, especially in a place so anonymous as the Internet. But, I am well aware of the depth of emotion Mortifyd possesses, and I would never - in any way - wish to parody or belittle that.

All the vey best,
"Teh"

And the depth of emotion for others whom practically worship you--though not at the most extreme as Mortifyd does--has little relevance in your time? I notice the only person you seem to refer to, is Mortifyd, but perhaps once of me. I am not speaking out of jealousy, because someone like you, talking at least once about me, is enough, but what about those whom are also devoted fans? It's odd that I'm actually showing compassion for something like this, and perhaps maybe I am speaking out of jealousy, but really. Mortifyd isn't your only fan. I'm sure he's your greatest, but not your only.

My Dear Teh,

"Actually, the "teh" in user name was suggested by a friend as something of a joke, since I know very few of the terms and peculiarities. But I appreciate the affection all the same."

Don't feel bad. I'm Technologically Challenged myself and Internet Lingo often throws me for a loop. In fact, when I first encountered "teh" on Mortifyd's journal, I thought perhaps it was a typo or that he had a mild case of dyslexia that I had not previously noticed. ;-)

"As to being "stuffed" with something; nothing worse than long-held ideas which I believed were conclusive. I think the same can be said for almost any of us, perhaps."

Perhaps, but I think my paradigm has been shattered so many times that I no longer have any Conclusive Long-Held Ideas.

"Bluntness is appreciated, truly. And yes, appearances CAN be deceiving, especially in a place so anonymous as the Internet."

I'm glad you appreciate bluntness. I've also discovered that the internet is sometimes not as anonymous as many people believe.

hullo there!

a friend of mine told me that i ought to check out your journal. so.... i am. i'm quite fond of your writing style. after being inundated with both internet shorthand and unintelligible abbreviations, seeing people use complete sentences is exciting for a language nerd such as myself.

take care of yourself now!

Thankyou. I confess to barely understanding some of the abbreviations and shorthand. The poor English language... It's not that difficult, really.

Be well.
