08/05 - "It's on the level, of like, Locke in a wheelchair," Jorge Garcia (Hurley) says. "The great thing about it is you learn a little bit about what's in the hatch, and as you go through the first few episodes, more comes together, and you realize that it's a much more significant thing than it was at the start of the show." According to Dominic Monaghan (Charlie), we won't miss a beat. "I think between the end of the first season and the start of the second there's about 35 seconds," he said. "So, you're right in the midst of this action." Source: Kristin on E!Online

General Season 2 spoilers:
08/18 - Yoon-jin Kim noted that Sun and Jin would still not be reunited by 2.2. Emilie de Ravin said Claire and Charlie are not making out by 2.2, and she doesn't yet know if a romance will develop between the two. Naveen Andrews confirms that Shannon and Sayid characters are still a couple as of 2.2. Lindelof says what lies beneath The Hatch will be explored in 2.1 and 2.2, but "What's really down there" won't become entirely clear to the survivors or the viewers until 2.3. 08/12 - Before the season opener on Sept. 21, ABC will air an hour-long Lost Special. Source: ABC
08/12 - This season, Jack's mistrust of Locke will grow, as he continues to question his motives and obsession in uncovering the secrets of the mysterious hatch. The fates of Sawyer, Michael and Jin will be revealed after their raft was blown out of the water by "The Others" - who at the end of last season kidnapped Michael's son, Walt. Sun will become less dependent on husband Jin and more autonomous, as she wonders whether he is still alive. Kate's back-story life as a fugitive will continue to be explored. Charlie will become even closer with Claire and her baby, Aaron, but the stash of drugs he found in a statue could seduce him back to a dark life of addiction. The cursed numbers that turned Hurley's life upside down before the crash will continue to haunt him as he begins to uncover their meaning. Shannon will decide where Sayid fits in her life while she continues to grieve over the death of her brother, Boone, and develops a growing sense of unease about the raft passengers and their fate. 08/10 - From writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach: Danielle has been on the island 16 years, despite the fact that the translated French message is inconsistent on the "iterations". No nanobots, despite the tongue in cheek comments at Comic-Con. Rose is definitely coming back for S2. The "two plane" theory is WRONG - there is one plane, at least only one oceanic 815! Source: The Fuselage
08/10 - Damon Lindelof: "Right out of the gate in the season premiere, the numbers become a driving and fundamental plot point of the second season. We plan to answer this season via flashback: Who is the woman Jack married? (Look for this to be addressed early on, since Julie Bowen flew to Hawaii last week to shoot an episode). How did Locke become wheelchair-bound? What exactly did Kate do to become one of America's Most Wanted? What was Hurley's prelottery existence like?" Also, Lindelof says that the mystery surrounding the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 - which was originally going to be solved in a minimovie on the first-season DVD - will be resolved this season. "By the finale of Season 2," he says, "you will know why the plane crashed." "We're not stupid," exec producer Carlton Cuse says of the looming triangle. "There's clearly chemistry between [Michelle and Matthew Fox]. Their [airport encounter] was not accidental." Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
08/09 - Dominic Managhan (Charlie) said: "Charlie and Locke are going to re-explore their relationship. They kinda started doin' that in the early part of the show. Locke kinda became Charlie's mentor a little bit. And I think Charlie's obviously gonna be struggling with the fact that there's now heroine on the island, and kind of a huge supply of heroine, so he has to deal with those demons. Also, the baby's gonna play a big part in his life, as is Claire. So Charlie's gonna start to actually contribute to the group a little bit more, I think." Jorge revealed: "We know that they're gonna find more people on the island." Source: Kristin on E!Online
08/05 - Maggie Grace (Shannon): "We're going to find out what's in the hatch quite early in the season - in the first episode, actually. We're also going to find out more about Jack's marriage, and some of Shannon's backstory as well. We have a few clues - she was married, highly manipulative, that sort of stuff. And it's a possibility that Ian might come back for that [backstory]." Source: Kristin on E!Online
08/03 - Lindelof says: "I think it would be fairly silly for us to kill a woman - there's only three or four of them on the show." Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
08/02 - The female death won't be at the hands of the monster. Damon Lindelof: "What's in the hatch is so intense/cool/complicated that it actually takes three full episodes to fully understand it. Fortunately, these are the first three episodes of the show, so the wait is over!" Source: Kristin on E!Online
