I'm so glad I discovered this and its prequel today. It is so, so terrific, and I love how they don't go all 'ahhh I need to protect you' over each other even though Steve is the type to, and Loki can be that jealous sort if he really wanted to be. Instead they respect each other. Thank you for this, I'm so glad I read it.

Oh, this is just wonderful. It's a perfect bookend to the prequel. You've got the right amount of action and story and angst--just glorious. And sweet. Now that I've fallen for this pair with so little fanfic out there for them, YOU BEST WRITE MORE. You've gotten me, hook line, and sinker. I particularly appreciate how you do all this and keep them in character. I can't get behind the stories where Steve is just "OKAY, RELATIONSHIP." As a soldier from his time period, I don't think he'd be all cozy with a teammate right off the bat.

One other thing that you've done awesome is you've kept their relationship on the side--on dark nights and early mornings--and not when they're fighting. A soldier would never be gooey and romantic when people's lives are at risk, and he wouldn't act that way in front of his teammate anyway, for risk of upsetting group dynamics. You've found a perfect balance.
