I hate reading what I wrote when I was younger. Or at least I thought I did, until I spent a good few hours going through those old entries.

When you change, you're essentially reading entries your old entries as someone else, so a certain detachment and realization that you're no longer the person in the entry plays a part. Also, I feel embarassed by my entries when they were just emotional outbursts, and I do so hate it when I do that. I think embarassment comes when you don't like yourself :o And if that's the case, look at what you've read, use it as a mirror to tell you things about yourself, and if you're so inclined, work to change those things about you. Or maybe you'll learn to just accept them.

Needless to say, I kind of enjoy reading my own past entries. I <3 myself.

And I don't see anything wrong with what you write. :| I just accept them as reflections of you. If anything, you seem like a realistic, slightly depressed individual. Those can be most intriguing.
