The same thing happened with my dog Husky when I was in Form 2... just a little different though. I went to school (and it was the first day of my exam too) in a hurry so I didn't really pet my dog before I left. And then when I came home, I didn't know that my family had him put to sleep because he was really sick and blind in one eye. >< I wasn't even there to say goodbye (I was the only one who didn't) and I cried for days and nights. And flunked my exam, but I didn't really care about the exam after that.
There's a saying that dogs will somehow know their time to go and choose to pass on when their owners are not around. :/ Supposedly so that their owners won't cry in grief when they see them go but it's the same thing one way or another... sigh. *hugs you* I hope you'll be okay dear, and it's okay to cry and cry about your beloved friend and pet.
*hug hug* yea.. it sure feels depressing. I really regretted myself didn't see him properly or didn't even glance at him properly during that morning...He have done his duties here and he was a loyal dog. I really love dogs coz no matter how you treat them, they'll always be loyal to you. they will know their way back to ur home when they run out to somwhere we dunno but they'll always come back.

It's good to think that Fifi is not in pain anymore :) it hurts a lot, but at least you and Fifi had good memories, right? :)
