So yeah. Uncle Mike passed away. My dad, my sister, and I are flying up to NY on Saturday, and will come home Tuesday.

That poor, poor guy. Living in a nursing home with severe brain damage is an extremely shitty way to spend the final third of your life.

I'm starting to realize how odd my job really is. It's mundane work, in an extraordinary setting. The work itself is really nothing you wouldn't do working at a fast-food restaurant, except that there's far more people.
