Ron sat down across from Hermione
at their usual corner of the common
room, and looked around confused.

"Where's Harry?" he asked.

"Remember? He's got that lesson with
Professor Lupin this evening," she
replied without looking up from her work.

"Oh..." Ron signed and leaned back in his
chair. He was bored and had been planning
to ask Harry if he could look at the Map.
He was also a little angry at Hermione
for getting Harry's Firebolt taken away
but since he had no one else to talk to,
she would have to do.

"So, what are you studying?"

"Oh, this and that," said Hermione said,
still not looking up from her book.

Ron sighed again and leaned forward to
get a better look at the mountain of books
that surrounded Hermione. Werewolves.
Every single one seemed to be about them.

"Why all the werewolf books? Snape set that
essay ages ago and you got top marks on it then."
Ron cocked an eyebrow at her. "You're not going
for extra credit are you?"

Hermione finally looked up from the book,
and looked rather annoyed. "You have no
idea why I'm reading about werewolves?"

Ron shook his head.

"Honestly, Ron." Hermione huffed, "If you
don't know by now, I'm not telling you."

Ron grumbled loudly, and stood up.
Maybe he'd just go to bed early...
