Just my luck.

Ron sat on his bed glaring at an entire pile of quills
that sat in front of him along with his homework.

They're all broken...

What the bloody hell am I going to do?

"I'm going to fail everything and Mum is going to
murder me," he said aloud. "But before she can
get to me, they'll put me in detention forever
for not doing my homework. And Hermione will
be cross. Oh hell... that's the last thing I need."

Ron flopped backwards onto his pillow, which he pulled
from under his head and placed firmly over his face.
Maybe if he smothered himself, the others wouldn't
get the chance to kill him before his new quills came.
