I'm so sorry to hear that, A. I know how it is to feel love and obligation for your family and at the same time frustration and confusion for yourself. I really hope it works out for the best for you.

I'm sure you've explored this, but there's no chance that you could finish your degree first? It stands to reason the you could conceivably get a better job and be able to help out more with it than without.
