Another suggestion I've see to keep your car more fuel efficient is to travel at around 60 mph. I was driving yesterday and think I have figured this out. If I am movin' along steadily at 30 mph, the rpm doodad said 1.5. At 60 mph it said 2. At 70 mph it said 2.5. So the difference from 60-70 is the same in rpm as from 30-60. I hear ya on the expenditure! D: The petrol price is steadily going through the roof and beyond. I've taken to driving on the highway (eventhough it is 1.5times as far!) to just be more fuel efficient. When I travel at 120km/h, I can get about 650km out of my tank. In city traffic, I only get about 520-550km. So yeah, I probably still burn through the same amount of petrol in the same time, but I cut my travel time by half. :)

As you know, maths are not my skill. Still, if it just evens out your efficiency, it's worth it for havin' less time on the road. Then you have more time to draw and that makes the world a better place. :)
