Lovely.

Are there many children here?

[the sketch pauses and she moves her pencil down to write him a response]

Thank you.

Not a lot, actually. It mostly seems to be older people who are brought here.

Curious. I wonder why that is.

I guess that would depend on who is bringing us here and why. No one's really figured out the answer to either.

[Rogue. Covers up her picture. And takes her time. And in the end it is something a little cruder than this.

She figured she might as well give the kids somewhere to run to. Especially with the embarrassment of sketches being seen like this - maybe it will take the sting out of it.

She probably won't respond.]

[the drawing gets a smile. Jilly waits until the other artist seems to have paused, before she'll begin to add a few more details. A naiad peeks from the water. Fairies peer from between branches, and along the top of the bridge, a pair of twig men are half out of sight behind the brick railing.]

They got wings.

[She says that more to herself than anything, but the book picks up because of her brushing a hand on it. Kids are nice and it's an impressive drawing... but they have wings.]

It's..kind of a hazard of this place.

[She can't pinpoint exactly why, but seeing what she sees as children with those wings is disturbing to her. She makes a noise of agreement before shaking her head at the book and giving a real reply]

Guess so. It's good work anyway.

Thanks.

I hadn't been planning on sharing, but I still have trouble with the filters.

McCoy's doing what he usually does on these lazy, autumn evenings -- occupying the empty space on the couch and trying to get some much needed shut eye. No easy feat to accomplish with the tape recording filtering out from the other room and his curiosity eventually gets the better of him.

The music isn't turned up loud, but it has an energy that seems to carry it through the house all the same. Legs crossed under her on the bed, her head nodded in time to the spirited reel as she worked on the drawing in front of her.

The jaunty music was definitely reinvigorating as the doctor approached her room and poked his head around the door. After a moment of deliberation, deciding whether to disturb the artist or not, he eventually rapped his knuckles against the wooden frame and spoke up over the giddy Irish din.

"Haven't heard music like this for a while."

That voice gets a smile as she looks up. "I found a couple tapes in the item shop and I couldn't pass it up."
