I haven't really updated this thing in a long time. Summer 2006 has been (for the most part) mundane, lifeless, and dull. I'm working in Lexington at a retirement home until I leave for New York next month. I'm excited about leaving for college -- it's a long-needed change. I need to get out of Kentucky. Now.

I suppose I'm a high school graduate now, or at least that's what this little piece of paper says. I'm back home, although I'm not sure if I feel too awfully enthusiastic about having returned home. I'll be here for a while. I'm planting a garden, reading bad thriller suspense novels, and perhaps getting a job.

My eyes hurt and I can't sleep.

After watching The O.C. season finale... I am crushed. How could they!?!?

And more importantly, congratulations to all my GRC friends graduating from high school tomorrow!

I'm done with high school.
Graduation practice is in 15 minutes.
Graduation is in 3 days...
and then I'll be gone for good.
