Being a homeowner really isn't that hard!! There are programs where you can get a foreclosed home for only $1000 down. If you do $1k down instead of 10% then there is an insurance included in your mortgage that you have to pay and I think it raises ours by $200-300 but even still... our total house payment is only 950ish (and we own instead of renting a really nice apartment lol)

You should look into foreclosed houses! Just choose wisely :) I think a lot of businesses offer free home inspections and stuff.
