Thanks Pup! Everyone I've talked to says take the course, so I think that's going to have to be my first step no matter what.

Also, that bike you have sort of looks like what I'd be after: sporty looking instead of cruiser-ish, but a bit more of an upright riding position. How's the insurance on such things?

Huh, well that's not too bad. It's under a grand, which is what I expected. Hopefully shopping around will allow me to save on my car insurance too :P
