I liked this episode better, I think. The flashbacks were done well, but not as well as the three-way in Firefly. Also, I could see a bit more Whedon in the dialogue of this episode, especially in the brain-wipe guy (he's very Xander, but he does add comedy while still being creepy). This episode was totally creepy, and I thought the hunter guy was ridiculous until it was explained in the end. Also, I'm a little more drawn in now, with (1) the Alpha mystery, and (2) Echo holding on to a few memories. And the Echo/Handler relationship is getting better, too. And what's up with the super-aggressive security guard?
It's still not the best show ever, but I think the Whedon thing is catching me off balance because it's still not up to the level I expect from him.
Why are the commercials for this show so weird? They were all like 60-90 seconds long. Hm... Also, I think the Hulu commercials (with Alec Baldwin, and now with Eliza Dushku as an alien) are kinda weird... what the heck?
