[Fic] A multitude of drabbles

Nov 21, 2006 23:12

koba-sama made me do it. These have been written throughout weeks worth of traded IMs (and bribes) between Serena and I. If you have any questions, since they're kind of all over the place and mostly unlabeled, feel free to ask.

ETA I've edited this post after having a few people convince me I was being a bit of a douche about my writing. I love you guys ( Read more... )

Okay, we're not really well acquainted or anything, and in fact I've been debating with myself re: leaving fb, maybe it is not my place to do so, etc, but. I can't believe this EVERYTIME I WRITE A LINE OF FOOTIE RPS, GOD KILLS A KITTEN bs. and it is bs. because wtf. you are good. like, Good. I'm not sure how much one opinion is worth, but I just wanted to say something because it'd be a crying shame if you didn't write more.

... I could go on, in detail, about some of your responses and how I loved them. You have a, I don't know, a very visceral way of writing? vivid. you paint your characters in much the same way too. I like it a lot. the way you write, that is. Serena's too, although your respective styles are pretty dissimilar. they're also dissimilar from anything I've seen in this fandom, which is at once refreshing and INCREDIBLY EXCITING, you have no idea.

You know, when I read your comment I felt sufficiently sheepish. I think it's mostly because I've always been very insecure about my writing and am used to making excuses for it. Impossibly high standards, maybe. But thank you for the compliments. After reading your comment, I re-read what I'd written with a better perspective.

I hope I can keep writing as well, I enjoy it despite how slow-going it has all been. :)

I really like a lot of these. Your Luis characterisation, the last Sergio one, 'Favourite player's SO', and more, in short loads of them :D I can just see you're going to be another one those writers in this fandom whose style I am always slightly in awe of and wish I could imitate.

Thank you! I haven't really read too much footie fic and I was wondering how people would take to my interpretations of the boys. I'm glad that you liked Luis. I'm fond of writing him.

Thank you so much! 'Function;Appeal' was written based on this photograph of Nagore. I don't think very much is known about her and the photo stayed with me, so I wanted to write her.

Eeek. Mindi, I love how everything here is like a little puzzle. I love puzzles and I love fics that make you work to understand them (like all good literature), so obviously I love everything here. The last one stuck with me just because of the interaction, and I loved all the Spanish bits, because my kink is tireless and you, you're a natural. My favorite one, though, has to be the Crespo one. No one ever writes about him, and to be honest he's still somewhat of an enigma to me, but I love your version of the man. ♥!

It makes me happy that you liked them. Dan has been one of my favourite characters to mess about with, mostly because I riff off of whatever koba-sama writes for him and vice versa. Writing anything in Spanish, however little makes me anxious because I feel like I have to check things about five thousand times just to make sure they're not misspelled or awkward and I can never get my accents right. But with so many Spanish-speaking players, I feel like I can take some liberties, although they probably come off sounding like Mexicans rather than Argentineans and Spaniards. ;) And the Crespo bits were surprisingly easy to write despite how I couldn't write more for him. Like you say, he's a total enigma. And I'll stop rambling on now. ♥

Hernan Crespo had grown up a poor boy, but at 20 he was worth cities and at 30 worth small countries.

asdfghjkl;'al;sfdks;ldafk
HERNAN NEEDS TO READ THIS D; He has never been sold for less than16 millions, which makes him all that cool.
He hated it at Chelsea. I remember how the Milan doctors said that he came to Milan (from Chelsea) in a poor shape THEY WERE STARVING HIM BACK IN LONDON, I SWEAR! and needed help :'[ I fucking hate Chelsea for treating him like shit, for making him suffer in there and for sending him all over the place. He's so much better than diver!Drougba and imnothingwithoutmilan!sheva.

Oh ;O It's weird how this ended with me flaming Chelsea I just love Hernan ;[, instead of me telling you HOW MUCH I LOVED THIS.

HERNAN NEEDS TO READ THIS

I THINK I WOULD DIE OF EMBARRASSMENT OMG.

AND I KIND OF HATE CHELSEA TOO, SO IT'S OKAY. Although lately I've gained this freakish fondness for their silly players. Damn you, youtube channel.

BUT YES, JUST GENERALLY FUCK CHELSEA.

And thank you for reading! The Argies tend to be my favourite players, it's true. I even support them above my national side (Mexico) and that's saying a lot coming from me. It pains me whenever they play against each other. ;__;
