So, why is it that no one told me that Patti Smith's newest album, Twelve (released 2007, following a high-profile induction into the Rock and Roll hall of Fame) was an album of covers? I'm listening to it for the first time today, and I noticed that the titles of the songs were very familiar, and then realized that it's because it's a damn album
