Wow...no kidding...I was JUST talking to Laura about not liking to recycle so many beer bottles, and the only other solution we could think of was a keg! Even when you recycle glass, that takes a lot more energy than some other things, like aluminum or paper. Our problem is that she is not a beer-drinker, so that might not be our #1 option at present. But anyway, that sounds like a neat gadget!
I know that it doesn't seem that it is the best option but even if you by a 1/4 keg (1/2 barrel keg is what is considered a full keg) that will serve you close to 80 beers and for something close to $50 plus deposit. and as a new spokensperson for this idea I think it is important to note that there is no experation date just as long as you drink one beer a week or something. If I were president this is the speech I would have used to get people to spend their payoffs from the government - I mean economic stimulus checks.
