So, I made one of those "new year's resolutions". It's probably a silly one, as, it's just plain a good thing to do if I want to improve my skills. But I shall transcribe it anyway, since I think you're supposed to write these things down someplace

Since I celebrate the oriental/lunar new year, I tend to treat January as a month outside the year.* I look upon this time as a time to get my house and life in order after the craziness of the winter holidays and before I start the new year.

*The Mayans did something like this where the holy days at the end of the year which were required to make the year come out to 365 days didn't count in either the month before them or the month after them but were between the two.

That's a pretty good way to look at January. =) Perhaps we might ponder getting together for the real new year. . .

And yeah, the Mayans have the Day out of Time! I was born on the Day out of Time. =D I've always wondered if has some sort of bearing, like, come the end of Time, I get to be immune because I'm not subject to it, being born without it.
