Opinions needed

I'm working on my art portfolio final due in class in two weeks. Trying to get a jump on things and I need some input.

The overall concept came pretty quickly to me and I've finished the prelim sketches and, now, the base pencils for each drawing (I have to do three drawings, thematically-related, on 14"x17").

i like the physical, 3d butterfly. it provides an opportunity towards greater contrast between the female form & the butterfly. there is a faux stained glass window paint sold at craft stores that you could also use if you went wire frame. i can try to find you a link for it if you'd like...

How thick does the wire need to be for something like that? I'm using a pretty thin line that I usually use with wire-wrapping stones and gems.

It's a good idea, but I'm wondering how it would work with the last butterfly (which will be all bent out of shape).

No, that was an actual question about the stained glass. I've never worked with it before so I don't know what's possible with it.

I agree with Jenny. The story seems to be about the butterfly so making it more physical/3D works better for me. Either collage it and put it on, or the wireframe would be fine I think. With the wire you could actually crush it better though.
