perhaps he doesnt see that you have gone along with whatever he asked of you for so long and that your needs were not met at any point.
a boyfriend or a friend would:
*let you sleep in your own bed *not leave you with bills to pay *not leave you with a huge apartment to clean *not expect you to move his shit for him across the country before he even gives you the money for it *spare you the drama of several crying fits on the phone and think that perhaps it is not yours to deal with any longer and you have enough on your hands right now *respect your decision to break up and would not try and manipulate you into changing your mind
PS people who dated for so long and intensely cant be friends right away. you need to take A LOT of space before you can be friends. almost as long as your relationship lasted.
