I don't know but it is really cool to have them in the office and watch peoples faces when they realise that the gloves are hooked up to the computer

I'm sure that just over the horizon is something that converts waste heat from the CPU and graphics cards to a usable low voltage power supply for this kind of thing. Or even just reroutes the hot air from inside.
