My bike broke...
On my ride home tonight the derailer side chainstay broke clear through. I'm not sure if that is fixable by welding, or if I need a new frame. If I get a new frame what fraction of the parts can I keep. These are all unanswered questions, and I really want to have a solution before bridgepedal this weekend. -

I'm not obese
I have made the first huge milestone. My fancy fat measuring scale has indicated that I am below the threshold of obesity three times in a row now. It took a long time, a really long time. Bike commuting success
I'm halfway done with week 8 of constant bike commuting. I keep hearing this Greg LeMond (Winner of the Tour De France multiple times) quote in my head. "It doesn't get easier you just get faster". Birthday!
My 29th birthday is comming up on Saturday. I had planned on planning something grand, but I've been so busy with work that I haven't had much time to think much less work on things. Bike commuting success
I started bike commuting in I think late November. At first it was really difficult for me. Doing even two days in a row was too much for me. Slowly I've been getting in better shape over the months since then. And last week is the first time I was able to do all five work days in a row. On Friday I was super tired by the time I got home. RIP Mike. I will miss you
My first cousin Mike. He was in town for my Mom's memorial service. This is the day after that when my Great Aunt died at my Great Aunt, and Uncles house. My Great Uncle died a few months later.

I hope this year is better, and I think it will be
Last year three family members died, and I knew they probably would when the year began, but that still didn't really prepare me. I've changed so much as a person this year, and I think I am still changing rapidly. I don't really feel like I know who I will be next month. Stress
Last weekend was pretty fun. Been a bunch of stress too. I survived both a server going down hard, and department downsizing within a day of each other. My housemate just made me some hot buttered rum to help me sleep after quite a long time of insomnia in bed. I think that means she wins.
