Not a bad age to be, all things considered. It's funny, last year, when I was turning thirty with everyone saying that thirty is the new twenty, I never thought about turning thirty-one ( Read more... )

I used to take myself out on my birthday. Not so much anymore, it's really just another day to most people and frankly, I don't feel like advertising. Maybe Diane will think of something special, but really it isn't your job.

Still, everyone should take one day to celebrate being alive, and to pamper themselves. A movie, a meal and good company is plenty enough to celebrate.

Happy 31st. Just wait until that first number is a 5. Oh, what I wouldn't give to have the 31 year old body back, although I'll keep the current brain.

I bought a Dyson vacuum the other day as a present for myself - I LOVE it!!

My birthday is usually a bad luck day and so I was happy that it was pretty mellow. :)

Thanks!

There's an old saying attributed I believe to Russian women, but I like it:

"You get older faster here, but you stay older longer."

And you're neither older nor getting there any faster. I love you, Pretty. You are if anything more gorgeous, refined, and outright fucking fantastic now than I remember you being when I first fell in love with you. Yours is a face that I can legitimately say launches the thousand ships of each dream I have or any thought or concept that inspires me to action. I can genuinely say that if it wasn't for you and your being there all these years already, I wouldn't be here either.
