yoga is no longer commonly percieved as a religious practice in america. the recognition of its health benefits, both physically and mentally, have made it one of the most popular low-impact exercises.
i really don't know anybody who would be confused by christians doing yoga. honestly, what century is this? this kind of close-mindedness is exactly what most people fear about christians.

There's nothing wrong with the physical aspects of the exercise itself. The whole "mind emptying" that some teach can lead to deception. Also, the New Age movement in the media (with people like Oprah, etc.) is another big reason why it has become so popular. It is often used in New Age to get people to slowly and eventually adopt what they believe.

Hindus and Buddhists, perhaps?
>honestly, what century is this?
The 21st. ;)
>this kind of close-mindedness is exactly what most people fear about christians.
I honestly believe that people ought to be open minded only to the point where their brains do not fall out. =)
Yoga is no different from anything else that can distract us from God. It is entirely possible for someone to be as misled by and obsessed with going to church as yoga. Criticizing yoga for something Christians can do to themselves and others with their own religion is as misleading as you claim yoga to be.
>It is entirely possible for someone to be as misled by and obsessed with going to church as yoga.
Your point is correct, but the topic of obsession was not the issue I addressed. The issue was mixing yoga into Christianity. The two are not compatible.
