tattoo temporal identifiers on your body e.g. anarchist, straight-edge, liberal, etc. it's the equivalent of tattooing "blonde" on your body no matter what you think now, you will change

The way I look at my tats, now that I have quite a few radical ones is that it is revenge on my elder self for selling out...which I won't do. But my tats are a good incentive not to.
Otherwise it'll be hard to justify the hammer and sickle on my arm.
"Tattoos are a permanent reminder of a temporary situation" I think that was like John Denver or some other burnt out shit kicking pop hippie. What the hell did he know anyway, he crashed a plane into the ocean. How the hell you do that is beyond me...it isn't like it is hard to miss
i get where you are coming from. but i don't think after being vegan for 6 months, you should get a vegan tattoo. after writing anarchist "A" on walls, you shouldn't get an anarchist tattoo. a temporal stage in your life shouldn't merit a permanent reminder in your life. all i'm saying is wait a while. if you still have the same viewpoint a year later, go for it. i'm just not big on tattoos that make a "statement". my tattoos are just for me. i don't care what anyone thinks of them or what they get out of them. i'm the only one that has to look at them everyday.
My politics are a huge part of who I am, so these tats are for me. I want to get a lot of historical tats so that when people ask me about them I can tell them stories. It'll be fun when I'm like 90
I've got Neither God nor Master facing me on my forearm...a constant reminder to be aware of what I'm doing.
personally, all my tattoos (all two of them) represent a period in my life. i may not be the same but i still experienced those thing. your point of view may vary, but your memories stay the same.
ps. what's up? i really like your manatee. i'm entranced.
