Youtube has been playing advertisements of these guys at me for a while now, so I finally looked at their video.

Humph! Humph I say. I feel pity for today's kids. Because back in my day, we had a better class of prefabricated nonthreatening boy band.

Not watching hte video. One boyband is a boyband too many.

That said, I am a little bit too young to remember New Edition. So assuming it's not Bell, Biv, or Devoe, who was the too-old/tattooed/fat/balding one in that group? Don't say Bobby Brown. I cherish the ridiculous notion that he was a cute gawky teenager back then.

Definitely Bobby Brown. He always just seemed a little more threatening. I mean, Ralph Tresvant clearly wasn't going to be hurting a fly.

So they also have a show, I guess. I know that because kids at the library have asked for the dvd, but I haven't bothered to learn anything about them other than that.

Jesus though, you are correct. They can't dance, they can't even look at the camera correctly when they're trying to be sincere, and when she passes them it looks like one of the dudes is staring at her ass every. time.

This is why I got into Kpop, actually. The songs are better and those kids can dance and the choreography is GOOD.

Did you see the kpop vid from this year's Club Vivid?

(I am also refusing to watch a truly incompetent boy band. Can we have Lady Gaga step on them with any one of her huge boots?)

Actually, now that I'm thinking of it, did you see the My Little Pony one from Premieres, too?

I was into somewhat into Jpop and Kpop years ago (MAX, Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada) but kind of drifted away from it (although I've run into some really awesome J-Rock bands since then, if you can stand yelly screamy rock, Crossfaith is fantastic, I like their cover of The Prodigy's Omen better than the original, their drummer is great ( ... )

I have seen that BEG video, because the boy band I like, 2pm, did a parody of it on their variety show a few years ago.

I need to remember the name of this Chinese band a saw a few months ago. Their video was fucking AMAZING.
