Why is it that the dogs can be peacefully napping upstairs under the bed, but the minute my phone rings, they dash down to yowl through the entire conversation?

(They make up for it by being insanely cute.)

My dogs do that too. Sound asleep to LOUD in 2 seconds if I'm on the phone. And I'm hardly ever on the phone.

It's because you abuse them. You're not loving THEM and paying attention to THEM while you're on the phone. Therefore, they must yowl to get your attention.

Either that or they want to say hi to whoever is on the other line.

Whichever, it's REALLY FREAKING ANNOYING, and hurts my ears, and takes away from precious conversation time.
