Reason #11: This is a Christian nation, even though the Founding Fathers were atheist and deist.
Seriously, I don't get all the "no, not gay marriage!" stuff. Even if you think it's morally wrong... I think all kinds of things are morally wrong; that doesn't mean I want to take away people's basic freedoms. And if in 2009 we have concluded that homosexuality is not a mental illness, but in fact completely natural, then we can conclude that the only things holding us back are personal values and/or religion. (I know people who aren't religious at all, but are still against gay marriage because "it's not how it's supposed to be.") I don't see why same sex couples can't marry solely because Random Guy up the road thinks it's wrong.
