You want to run this ship??

Yes.
Well, you can't.

My goodness. So, I watch Serenity twice this weekend. There really are no words. I've got tons of comments all logged up in my brain but they all boil down to:
"I believe."

I believe in Joss, I believe in Serenity, I believe in the crew.

Also, I believe I was right. I called it. After Bushwacked I stated to both Brack and Hagan that the Alliance had created the Reavers. Of course, I thought they were created as the perfect social control. See, out there are the bad guys and no one can keep you safe but us, the great big trustworthy gov'ment. Bow before us and let us keep you safe. I didn't realize that they were actually an unintended side effect of a much more sinister form of control.

I also believe I almost died. I was unspoiled although I assumed someone would die. So when Book died, I relaxed. I was safe, I hated to see the old man go, but it was right. Then, here I am sobbing like a hungry, angry baby because first they dressed Serenity up like a reaver ship, then they cut of her feet and knock her engines off. But hey! Everything's okay. The ship can be repaired and "I'm a leaf on the wind. Watch me soar." I actually screamed like it was my husband being impaled. Really. Aaron and Dee were six rows behind us in the theater and they heard me scream. Aaron knew it was me too.

And really, while I love Wash, what hurt me so much was the fact that Zoe was alone again. She and Mal have been through so much pain, she's had to be hard for so long, that Wash was the one who let her be soft. Now, I'm not sure she'll ever be soft again. She may fly true, but I'm not sure she'll ever be soft.

Everything else I loved. More on that later.

To all those who are pissed at Joss for "taking the sky from them" I have one thing to say:
"PTHTTTPBTTT!"

Also took Fizgig to the vet on Saturday and after an x-ray discovered that his enlarged heart ain't so enlarged no more. My kitty done a reverse-Grinch. His heart shrunk three sizes. Okay, not three sizes but a significant amount that the vet is *very* impressed with his reaction to the medication. She's even gone so far as to say that pending any further drama (yarn and so forth) that she wouldn't be surprised if Fizgig's around for the next presidential election. Which is good, cause I know voting is important to him.

Well, everything in my office is packed up and ready to move after lunch. I will spend the afternoon looking out my new windows. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

I hope Brack's enjoyed his first day at work.
