[ Massacres didn't faze Eko in the slightest, having been the cause of them so often-- but he's curious now, about what kind of creature is lurking in the city or the new district that would cause such destruction, something very reminiscent of a Mikura rampage, that he's deemed it worth his time to investigate the streets.
Not to prevent further atrocity, of course. Just to see. It might after all have been the work of the Red Man that Ganta so fears, and he is well fed now and ready for another encounter.
So he is simply walking, Yurine trailing a few paces behind him carrying the communicator. ]

[ Massacres didn't phase Heine, but for an entirely different reason; he reveled in the violence that came from them. That was probably something that he had in common with the beast that hid quietly in his spine, past his chest and his beating heart, where he could never quite reach it (no matter how badly he wanted to, no matter how much he wished that things were different, because they weren't and they never fucking would be).

[That silence on her part stays for a minute even after he speaks again-and it's silence that's come out of confusion. And it's confusion that starts to spawn a heavy sense of foreboding, but too late for that to help any. Too late because when she finally says something she tries to keep her voice firm and level; but, in her uncertainty over the obvious and sudden change in his demeanor, the concern slips through just a little.]
