Can't help with the costume deal, but maybe you can tell your partner "at ease"? Worked for me. Sarge told me "At ease" just once, and I've been like that ever since!

There's a wide variety of creatures such as witches, werewolves, vampires, etc that are really popular over Halloween. Maybe start looking into a supernatural costume.

And I hear Bakemon sheets are fairly cost efficient in finding a costume, as they change your appearance.
