GUYS

I FINALLY GOT GOOGLE CHROME

you know, as part of my cyber spring cleaning I finally got it

I am torn between going, oh god, I've succumbed to the power of Evil Google, and thinking, this is so much better than Internet Explorer. -____-

asdfghjkl; leaving this public so everyone can see how stupid I am sometimes ALL THE TIME

Never again, IE. Thankfully all my uni has Firefox as default on all its computers, so I should be good. :)

DON'T JUDGE ME

I AM BOTH STUBBORN AND SET IN MY WAYS

I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT~

Reason I didn't get Firefox is because my dad uses it and it glitches like a crazy bastard (though that might be my dad's fault, admittedly). PLEASE, OPERA IS WORSE THAN IE, WHICH IS SAYING SOMETHING, I KNOW.

Yeah Firefox can glitch pretty badly, but that's usually due to Add-ons... And Opera is more stable than IE, I think. I can't even load IE. If I open a GIF from a folder, it always auto-opens in IE and it basically crashes itself trying to start. WHY DO YOU KEEP HURTING YOURSELF, IE?! WHY?!

No, but that's the thing... my dad's Firefox has zero add-ons. I have no idea what he did. Then again, this is a man who required me to explain how to "Copy/Paste" last week. Honestly.

If Internet browsers are a gang, IE is the dark, brooding emo kid who always mumbles when people asks him questions and remains generally unhelpful.

I've been using it for a several months, and I'm still on the fence about it. Firefox kept freezing up on me and of course that was a major problem. There are a moderate number of things I prefer about Firefox, and actually a few I like better about Chrome. But mostly it's the I-don't-want-to-shift-all-my-bookmarks-again thing. bleh.

I wanted to use Firefox, because it has a lot of Add-Ons I was interested in, but I found my dad's Firefox glitched like crazy without any Add-Ons. I know a few people who use Chrome without any difficultly, and after being on IE for all these years, I figured I should go for a browser that doesn't constantly crash.

Oh god, there really is no way I can explain to my RL friends that a huge reason I didn't want to change browsers was because of the several dozen fanfiction bookmarks I have. I really hated reorganising them. *Is lazy.*

Now I think of it, Chrome does not crash under the prodigious weight of all my open tabs, as Firefox would do on occasion.

I thought I'd solved the problem, more or less, by moving to delicious. I still use it, although it is rather more persnickety than I'd like now. But I only use it for my fandom bookmarks, so all my references and hilarious youtube videos, etc, are still on-browser. I should just make a damn word file and back it up on dropbox.

I was going to use Delicious until it had that huge crash a while back, like where a huge chunk of people lost their tags and bookmarks. :/

However, you make a good point about having a Word file on DropBox... *ponders*

Man, I've been using Firefox for as long as I can remember. We go waaay back. Like, at least three versions back. But yeah, everything is better than IE, so I take this as a victory. :D
