its not been an easy week. not many of us at work knew those two boys or even their familys. being woken up by the choppers flying overhead, or going out for break at work and your right there at the search site. all week a number of us have been terrified of going out there. waiting to hear cheering, saying they found them and they are alive.

what ever happened sounds horrible. I am sorry to hear that you have been dealing with something so sad. MY thoughts are with yuo, even if you did not know them being a witness to tragedy is no less difficult to deal with.

*s* thanks. i really dont know why it upset me so much. i just couldnt stop the feeling of being overwelmed with sadness if it makes any since

empathy

I am very empathetic. I can go to a funeral, of a person I didn't know, yet if I know one person there (a friend, a family memeber etc.) I will cry, because seeing family and friends that I care about upset and hurting makes me hurt and upset for them. It is empathy, and some people have it. Others only have sympathy which is more like pity, you feel sorry for them but you are glad your not in their shoes... So yeah the way you are feeling makes sense to me.
