ok, i have not seen the movie, nor do i plan on putting anymore money into mel gibson's pockets, so perhaps i shouldn't talk. someone just told me that in the movie Satan is depicted as a woman. UM. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK. Why hasn't this been mentioned AT ALLL in the hoopla, *ahem*, HYPE, of this movie? I'm sorry but I think that is deplorable.

I am wary of speaking about this film/issue because I will be interpreted as anti-Christian, which I am not. I'm interested in Christianity as I am in lots of religious/mythological/spiritual beliefs and have actually read a lot about the Bible, etc. I just have bad feelings abt this film from what I've read and heard people say-- the way it has been promoted, used as a tool of conversion, which I think is crass and commercializing a supposedly pure message... aside from its ridiculously gory focus. Ppl keep coming into my work jabbering about it. Of COURSE you cried, it's a fucking snuff film!!!! Give me a break. How does that tell me anything about faith? Duh, people who were crucified went through lots of pain. I think it's morbid to obsess over the death of Jesus and I don't understand it.
blahj blee blah. i'm not feeling the love today, can you

I know that isn't the case in the Bible that I know of, although women ARE the devil's gateway, blabblah and all that crap, and later interpretations often portray the serpent in Eden as female.
