I keep hearing good things about this film - it's a pity it will probably move on before I get round to seeing it. One review said it was pretty much the terrorist's eye-view of Star Wars which made me wonder whether if it had a touch of Blake's Seven.

I wouldn't call it a terrorists' eye view as such, but there are some rebels in it that come really close to being terrorists (and in a quasi-Middle Eastern city too), and we're expected to root for them more than we do for the Empire. So it does sort of invite a degree of empathy for the terrorist. I doubt if B7 was a direct influence, though.
