I know it's frustrating, but I was purposely vague.

But to hell with it. So, basically, my mother has been in a relationship with a worthless drug addict for over six years. They've broken up about a dozen times, and she recently caught him cheating on her. We were all very supportive of her when she threw him out.

But as usual, she took him back anyway.

So naturally, I wasn't pleased. When my cousin and I voiced our disapproval, she came and stormed down the door, bringing her shirtless boyfriend so he could crack his knuckles and act all tough, and throwing out threats... So the cops were called and it was just an ugly scene.

So maybe that, when combined with the vague description above will help you get a clearer picture.

Well, I meant the hugs were inadequate, but the clearer picture does help.

I'm so sorry for your nieces in all this. It's terrible. :o(
