[ Ororo had been able to tell from the moment she'd woken that the village was in for another snow day, today. That was always a thrilling feeling! [ Rogue appears, with her - mercifully - noise blocking headphones looped around her neck. She's got a mug of coffee made with chicory in her hands, and she leans against the doorframe to call out to Ororo. ]

Ain't ya cold out here?

Good morning, Rogue. [A smile.] I'm fine, thank you for asking. It takes quite a bit for me to get cold.

[She takes a sip of her coffee.] I wish that was part of all mutant powers. I hate being cold.

[But she loves the excuse to cover up.]

[Kurt will run into her later on his way back home, when he abruptly appears with a BAMF in front of the door. Just as he reaches for the knob, he notices he's not the only one outside.]

Oh hey, Ororo. Guess we have you to thank for more snow, yeah?

[Ororo smiles, and it looks a little smug. But only a little!]

Our captors aren't the only one who cam tamper with weather patterns. I thought perhaps we could use a lazy snow day or two.

Just don't go too overboard. You don't want the locals blaming your for all the weather.

We do. Many hold parties and celebrate the turn of the year with friends and family, with food, drinks... sometimes even fireworks.

[A thoughtful pause.] But where I come from originally, the new year is celebrated much later in the year - in September. It's quite a festive occasion as well, though I suppose that is common for any community.

[When Ororo makes her way inside by the end of the day, she'll find Kitty at the kitchen table with her Christmas gift - her laptop from home- looking a little glum.]

[While the appearance of the new laptop is curious, Ororo's attention's immediately grabbed by that air of glumness over Kitty. Concerned, she walks right over.]

Kitty?

[Kitty perks up at the sound of her name. See? She's not sad. Totally not sad.

...Okay, maybe she's a little sad, but she's trying hard not to dwell on it. She smiles at her over her computer screen.]

Oh, hey Ororo.
