Today I paid my first parking ticket. Ever.

Tomorrow I'm celebrating the 25th anniversary of the first human temporal displacement (though I do recognize at least some of the difficulties involved in using the word "first" here) by watching a recording of the event; there will probably be drinks and snacks, and guests are welcome.

I seem to recall you not having a licence... why are you paying a parking ticket?

True, the parking ticket was not actually mine... I suppose I should have phrased my statement better. Anyway, a friend incurred a parking ticket while visiting, and I ended up being the one to deliver payment. I was impressed by the efficiency of the in-person payment process: there were about a dozen people in queue ahead of me, but I was finished and on my way within five minutes!
