now, I feel like I can talk about this....ok...Jan 16th, we get a call....a neighbor of Charles' mom got worried, cuz she hadn't heard from her in awhile...so, she gets the police to open the door, and they found Charles' mom, deceased in her apt....she was at the foot of her bed, in a kneeling position...the sad thing...she had been deceased for ( Read more... )

Everyone handles this differently. My uncles were the way your sisters-in-law were about it. One got really depressed and the other was just completely useless. Roy sounds like he's going to be one of those denial types and quite honestly, in children I think that it's best for them to at least go to the funeral because they simply need that closure. My sister didn't get it and it wrecked her for years.

Oh honey. I am SO sorry for your loss. There's never a good way to let a family member go, honey. As you said she was kneeling, I like to think she was having a few last words with her Maker, getting reassurance that He was ready to bring her home.
