So...apparently between a bit of an error when running a program, compounded by not rebooting right away, I managed to hose several important folders (like a good portion of the "Program Files" folder...). At least, that's what I think happened. While much of the important programs have been restored, I do not have access to several system

Bah, forget Norton. It's evil, and so is McAfee. Try AVG instead.
