[ As 'promised', L's attending the ball. Not as himself, however, but as an identity he's been planning to use for quite a while: Dr. Lysander Schnibble! Having donned the guise and provisions of a regular Plague Doctor, L, or "Lysander" silently crept across the entrance to the Ballroom. He then casually maneuvered around a scattered crowd of NPC attendees to reach a corner, for him to brood in anticipation.. of what, you say? Of whatever happens soon enough, out of the myriad possibilities L's got down in his head. That's what.]
[Colette's going to the ball, and she's actually really happy about it. For a little while, she thought she'd be allowed to wear her normal dress, but that hasn't happened. Still, she likes what she's wearing, because it's really nice, and it reminds her of what she's been wearing for the last week or two. She's got a mask, too! This one! Her wings are out, though, and she really hopes people think it's part of her costume. She's really happy to be here, but she's really worried about tripping in her dress and spilling her tray of snacks and appetizers.]
[Klavier is, of course, not likely to pass up a party, and he attends in style (though the jacket is purple and the shirt white instead of green and yellow). He's donned a mask that he's deemed quite tasteful, and is surveying the collection of guests in the ballroom with interest. The music's not too bad, if a little slow right now for his tastes. Maybe that'll change later. Right now, he's waiting for more people to show up.]
[What is he doing here? He doesn't even know. There's a lot of adults here... he never went to anything like this when he was in Ivalice. Leading a clan didn't really leave that much time for things like this. Maybe they had them at the Palace? They definitely didn't have anything like this in St. Ivalice. He's never even been to a school dance before.
Still, he's here, no longer stuck as a moogle, but instead in a kind of comfortable outfit, though he could do without the black mask. He's hanging out near the entrance to the garden, watching the ballroom through the window/door/whatever.]
[She's there, dressed in a simple, yet still elaborate dress, which matches the ornatemask she's carrying in hand. She came alone, mostly because she was used to these sorts of things -- balls and masquerades were quite common for the nobility of Dalmasca, and Ashe felt comfortable here, among the richness and fine fabrics. Something catches her eye, though, and she turns, spotting Marche through the window, and raises her hand slightly in a wave.]
[Nino isn't sure why she went to the ball herself. The thought of seeing friends there was the only thing that had gotten her through the doors. She looks awkward in her green dress and matching mask, and feels that way too. She really doesn't think she should even be wearing that dress.
Thankfully, she soon spots someone who looks like Marche and hurries over to him.]
[Ed's shown up, and she's looking for the food, dressed in this outfit, though obviously it's in her size. She's wearing a little black mask just for the sake of mostly sticking to the rules. No one said it had to be formal, after all, just Victorian, and a masquerade. So she's in Victorian clothes. And a mask.

That's a weird costume.

They didn't say it had to be fancy.
