Winter was a quieter time among the dark street forces of London town. Even predatory humans left their homes with reluctance, stumbling through the murkiness in ice-cracked boots.

Jenny thought this just as well, since her mistress was now obliged to make frequent stops indoors, if she was to avoid brumation.

Vastra/Jenny and Jack in the same story dazzles me with so much awesomeness contained in one little fic. I like your Jack, who's drunk as a skunk but still astute enough to see through Vastra's disguise. Also, love how protective the ladies are of each other.

Thank you. To me the ladies seemed more than a match for our Captain during their brief appearance; all three are fabulously assured and resourceful characters. I think Vastra/Jenny is fast becoming my OTP.
