I always find it amusing to take little tests when I see them in other lj users journals, heres the most recent test results: It was very close between Existentialism and Hedonism, I think the second page answer determined which was selected as primary.

That Pascal quote is similar to a line from Kurt Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions.

I just noticed that. In fact, I mistook the Pascal quote for the Vonnegut quote, and was thinking, "Cool!! Someone else who reads Vonnegut!" and then...

Don't mind me--you've commented on my journal before, so I thought I'd return the favor. :)

No prob, it's cool if you post here.

I have been looking for some good books but I don't want to hop on the New York Best Seller bandwagon. What does Kurt Vonnegut write about? Philosophy?

Anyways thanks for the reply!

Umm, Vonnegut's books defy categorization. Usually he writes books that look like he wrote down whatever he was thinking at the time, but it all ties together in the end. His pet subjects to write about are the state of America, World War II, and you know, the end of the world.

He's a strange person, but he's addictive. I'd start out with Slaughterhouse-Five. That's probably the most...straightforward of the three books of his that I've read.

Books! I love books. I could give you pages of recommendations. And don't worry, I never consult the bestseller lists. Check my journal; I'll post a book list for you.
