All She Was Worth is an excellent book. It's one of those "slow-burn" mysteries where you're forced to think about things because there's not a whole lot of action going on.
I love that book to death. Too bad some of the back pages are warped--spilled tea on it...smells like peppermint now.
And The Tattoo Murder Case was my introduction to the world of Japanese crime novels. I spent an ungodly amount of money on that book because I bought it in Little Tokyo. I had forty bucks with me, and by the time I finished at the bookstore/cute little pencil store, I only had enough money left for a cheap bowl of miso soup, but I didn't care. I had a book and expensive pencils. My obsessions were satisfied.
Thats cool, I've always wanted to go to japan; but I'd settle for little tokyo. Thats in Cali some place right? I know they have a small japanese section of NYC thats supposed to be cool.
