I just bought thirty pounds of chocolate in the form of three large bars, which will find their way into my nieces' and nephew's possession and, ultimately, stomachs. I may not be able to give them a white Christmas, but I'll be damned if I can't give them a chocolatey one.

are those the chocolate bars from trader joes that i've heard about? my husband keeps threatening to get one and i threaten him bodily harm if he actually does!!

They had, I think, big Ghirardelli bars there two years ago, and my nieces loved them. They really wanted to get them each one last year, but Trader Joe's decided not to carry the big bars last year for whatever reason. This year, it's Trader Joe's brand chocolate rather than Ghirardelli, but it's still a 10 lb. chocolate bar. :)
