Is using the word 'game' in the context of relationships inherently perjorative? i.e., only used in same context as 'being a player'?

Similarly, is talking about 'games' in the context of relationships synonmyous with 'head games'?

1. If used in the context of "player" I would say, yes, it is pejorative. Being a "player" usually seems to involve tricking people into sleeping with you.

2. I'd have to hear the context to say.

I'd say "not always, but usually". Depending on context.

It's used as a pejorative by simps who can't mack. Ultra-pimps like myself are down with da game.

Man, if yo bitch is crazy, her games might be head games. But if yo bitch is freaky, her games are worthy playin'.
