Having filled three large boxes of books I can get rid of and another large box of books I can't bear to lose, I've come to the conclusion that I have a HOLY SHIT LOT OF BOOKS. I think I've got another six or so large boxes to go through, plus the piles on the floor.

Then I can start on the bookshelves.

I used to have my very own library too. Sounds about the size of yours, really.

Unfortunately..fortunately?...I discovered that I don't need a library, but a few core series of books and authors that I truly love. The rest were just going to waste, sitting there, doing nothing.

I have pulled apart a collection that spanned shelves, floors, boxes, and closets so that now it merely takes up a part of my bookshelves.

The good thing about trading them in, of course, is that I was able to complete some favorite collections by those loved authors.
