Character Number: 4th :x
Character: Charlotte La Bouff
Fandom: Disney’s Princess and the Frog
Personality: [
Wiki]
Charlotte is a spoilt rich Southern girl - but that’s not to say she’s not a good person. She is genuine and cares greatly for those close to her, and will put her own desires on the back burner (if only for a few minutes perhaps) if someone she cares about is in trouble.
However, she is spoilt. She is used to affluence and above all else, getting what she wishes for. Despite being a teenager, she can throw a tantrum to put any five-year old to shame.
Hyperactive might be another word to attach to Charlotte. She is usually bouncing with energy - be she happy or throwing a first class tantrum - and is rarely seen sitting still when there’s gossip, fun or friends around. She often jumps from one extreme emotion to another in the blink of an eye - she can be quite an exhausting experience.
She’s a dreamer, having read every fairy story a thousand times over and believing in true love and happy endings. She also believes that her happy ending and true love lies in a prince, which she has yet to bag.
And of course, just because she is a Southern Belle and a lady doesn’t mean she can’t kick down a door or smack someone with a heavy book should the need arise. Mostly though, she’ll look to a big strong man to protect her - more than likely her ‘Big Daddy’. Oh yes, she is the original daddy's girl.
History: [
Wiki]
Charlotte’s father - Eli ‘Big Daddy’ La Bouff - has certainly had money and power in New Orleans since little Charlotte was born. She wasn’t just born with the silver spoon in her mouth, she had silk diapers on her behind too. Everything she’s ever wanted, she’s gotten with a simple bat of her eyelashes or a pout of her lips. The best dresses, a puppy, all the best fairy tale books. Anything.
And the thing she wanted most was to be a princess. Sadly, not something wealth could buy. But marrying a prince sure could.
In her teenage years, the perfect opportunity arose, when the penniless prince Naveen of Maldonia came visiting New Orleans, looking for a bride. Charlotte and Big Daddy put out all the stops, inviting the visiting royal to stay with them, and throwing a big party to celebrate. The Prince seemed utterly taken with her and proposed marriage the day after the ball.
Unfortunately for Charlotte, her prince was actually the prince’s valet, Lawrence disguised with voodoo magic - working for himself and the ‘Shadow Man’s best interests. Nevertheless, unknowing of all this, Charlotte planned a quick and flash wedding to take place at the Mardi Gras parade. At the pivotal moment, her fake-prince was forced to take a dive and disrupt the ceremony, leaving Charlotte still single.
Not long before midnight, Charlotte discovered the whole truth, thanks to the real, enchanted prince Naveen. She thought she would finally get her prince, after freeing him from his froggy curse with her kiss, but after seeing a confrontation between Tiana - her best friend, also cursed - and Naveen, she saw how in love they were and was touched. She promised to kiss Naveen, but not marry him for her friend’s happiness and the purpose of true love.
Although that kiss didn’t work, she did soon have her friends returned to her as humans again, and she was happily there at their wedding. She remained perfectly blissful that her own prince would one day arrive - or maybe she could just wait in her luxury for Naveen’s six year old brother to grow up, since she’d waited so long already.
Of course, then she woke up in Demeleier, which puts quite a damper on things.
Abilities: Charlotte is a mere human, and her abilities tend to only range between looking good in pink and being an exceptional good friend.
And maybe the ability to powder her nose at a moment’s notice.

At her prettiest Sample writing:
“Oh, cheese and crackers!” Charlotte exclaimed, her normally sweet voice gruff and exasperated.
She knew she shouldn’t have had that second beignet the night before - or maybe even the third or fourth ones either. She had just known, but heck. Then she’d gone and had them anyway, and now look where she was.
Struggling to zip up her dress in front of her mirror, that’s where she was. With the prince waiting to meet her in the gardens too, she was hardly going to make a good impression being late.
“Honestly! If only he had turned up a few years earlier, he could be helpin’ me out at times like this!”
She sucked in her gut, puffing out her chest and twisted her arms behind her back, tugging the zip up inch by agonising inch. She swore her delicate face was turning blue and breaking out in a sweat from tension and the sheer amount of time it was taking to get that zip to reach the top.
“Lands sakes!” She gasped for air when the dress was finally zipped, clinging to her like second skin. She waved her hands before her face, staring despairingly at her face before she grabbed up a powder puff from the nightstand. “I look terrible,” she wailed to no one in particularly, grabbing up her make-up box.
She was already late, there was no sense in showing up looking less than perfect. The prince could enjoy the garden a moment longer.
Sample journal entry:
[The camera cuts on to show Charlotte with her hair pinned back and her sleeves rolled up. She beams at the camera] Well now! What do y’all think?
[She spins the camera around her room, which she has been gussying up with some fabric she found.] Aint that just peachy? I couldn’t stand the sight of this dreariness any longer!
[She purses her lips at the communicator thoughtfully] Gosh… I wonder if rowan berries dye things pink…
