[Somewhere on the floor in the flat he shares with Aziraphale, Crowley's phone beeps twice. The video function appears to have clicked on after a fall to the floor. The camera shows the edge of a very ugly looking couch and the ceiling. After five minutes the phone beeps twice again. In the upper right of the feed a "Low Battery" warning flashes

Having Crowley gone from the flat really wasn't news to Aziraphale. Not in the slightest. Crowley could be gone for days, or weeks on end without any indication that he even lived there at all. At least Aziraphale used the place, even if it was for a comfortable reading environment and little else.

It was the beeping that drew Aziraphale's attention to the black device on the floor, some time after the battery actually had died out. The presence of Crowley's mobile phone was a great source of curiosity for the angel. Crowley never left home without it and was rarely seen without it in his hand doing something or other with it. Aziraphale never bothered to ask what could be so fascinating in the little contraption. It was about this time that Aziraphale began to consider the possibility that something might be very, very wrong.
